Lining of Older Clay Pipes Improves Efficiency of System and Reduces Unwanted Inflows

Work affecting the Everest Plant is also taking place in the surrounding neighborhoods, with rehabilitation of old clay sewer pipes underway.  These older lines are TV inspected, with the highest priority repairs being accomplished without digging up the lines. Specially treated liners are pulled through the old pipe, and cured in place with hot water, leaving a pipe within a pipe.  This effort has reduced unwanted groundwater infiltration dramatically, thereby reducing the amount of water needing to be treated at the plant and freeing up much needed treatment plant capacity.
