Master Pump Station 540
Purpose:The purpose of this project is the construction of new Master Pump Station (MPS) 540 including wetwell, valve vault, and associated 24-inch force main to connect to the existing SW4 utility extension area. This MPS will receive the wastewater from the northern section of SW5 and the majority of the future SW6/7 utility area.
Project Statistics:
Work includes the following key work scope items:
- jack and bore under Veterans Pkwy,
- canal crossing,
- 6-inch Waste Activated Sludge (WAS) pipeline,
- standby diesel generator,
- 550 gallon fuel tank,
- odor control system,
- electrical controls,
- ‘residential-style’ superstructure
As well as all necessary traffic control measures,
restoration, and road patching.
A pre-qualified residential home-builder
has been selected to provide a “residential-style” building
to enclose the standby diesel generator and all associated
control equipment.
This project has been authorized under the SW5 utility
extension project.
